Will your website feature in search results?

Google has given us plenty of time to get our websites in order and to ensure they are fully responsive and therefore compatible with any size device or platform. Is yours?

Check it online with Google’s little tool here.

From 21 April 2015 Google will be introducing new algorithms bringing significant change to search results. So if someone is searching via a mobile device, they will only see results for mobile friendly websites. If yours is not mobile friendly, then it won’t show up in the list! Pretty heavy stuff!

If your website looks tiny, or squashed, you cannot read the text or you need to pinch it to view the pages, then your site is not responsive. Google has made available a really nifty little tool for you to check your site: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/mobile-friendly/. Just enter your domain and you’ll be presented with the results – green is good and red is poor!

You can read more from Google’s own blog here or, alternatively, read a previous blog of mine about mobile friendly websites.

If you would like to discuss updating your website either as a result of the above, rebranding or new products and services, then please get in touch either via my email: hello@alisonpagemarketing.co.uk or mobile: 07963 002065.
