Do you have a magnetic personality?
Have you ever found yourself in a spiralling vortex of negative thoughts, despondent over your job prospects or unable to buy the things you desire?
Would you like to change this? And, lets face it who wouldn’t jump at the chance?! If you’ve read my blog post of 4 February, you’ll see a series of events which led me to Sandra Swan’s Law of Attraction workshop earlier this month.
So whats it all about?
I don’t profess to understand it, although it has been proven scientifically, but I do ‘get’ it and strongly believe in the power of positive mental attitude. If you would like to improve your life, indeed any aspect of your life, then the Law of Attraction has the tools to help you.
The Law of Attraction works on the principle that like attracts like. This is the Secret, and awareness of its powers have been proven, studied and used by those who embrace it throughout the ages. Below is a great quote from the book which demonstrates this further:
“The predominant thought or the mental attitude is the magnet, and the law is that like attracts like, consequently, the mental attitude will invariably attract such conditions as correspond to its nature”. (Charles Haanel 1866 – 1949)
Sandra’s Workshop
At the workshop, Sandra explained the scientific basis for this and, contrary to what we are taught at school, to think less and feel more. The basis of the Emotional Scale identifies that ‘hope’ is the turning point from negative to positive, Sandra refers to it as a springboard. From the point of hopefulness, one is able to re-gain control of ones life and move forward positively. This we probably all recognise as positive mental attitude, however the Law of Attraction takes this a step forward by defining what we want, without worrying about or working out the how, and to focus on the positives, the opposite of ones issue. For example, if debt is a problem, one will tend to focus entirely on the problem itself, LOA teaches us to focus instead on the resolution and the positive feelings of wealth, success or happiness. You can read the 3 steps here on Sandra’s blog.
Over the past few months I have found I need visual reminders to help my progress such as not only writing down my affirmations but having them in front of me; the book on the coffee table; my ‘wish list’ as mentioned in the film by the bed for instance. Sandra does a great exercise to help with this and her workshop was fun, positive and relaxing. I left with my head held that little bit higher and a spring in my step!
