Its all very British!

Promotional opportunities can sometimes be found in the most unlikely of places…

Take the Royal Wedding for instance; there’s been lots of discussion over street parties and merchandise, but actually some companies have thought ‘outside the box’ and looked to maximise the event with their own promotional opportunities.

Bingo anyone?

Boden, the online clothing company, are offering chances to win a commemorative union jack scarf in their NFI (not formally invited) Wedding Guest Challenge and, perhaps more spectacularly, a Wedding Broadcast Bingo!  You can find out more at www.boden.co.uk/thewedding.

And earlier this week I received an email from Walk the Dog offering me, not only patriotic attire for our furry friends, but also mugs to celebrate the big day!  For full details of their range visit http://www.wtdbritcollection.com/.

Still not doing it for you?

Not to worry there are plenty of other promotional opportunities for your business.  Spring generally re-invigorates all of us and symbolises re-growth and new beginnings; car companies will promote health checks in summer (think air conditioning) and safety checks during the winter (brakes and tyres).  What is relevant for your business?

You may also be involved in events, sports, sponsorship or awards – look to all of them for ideas to promote your business offering.

Good luck and let me know how you get on!
